Dreaming in Color: Rose Gold

I've been into rose gold for awhile now. I love how versatile it is, and the fact that it's pink-toned makes it feel more romantic to me for some reason. Plus, I'm also partial to it because I wore a rose gold outfit to my college graduation. :)

I recently bought a phone case with rose gold accent (which I'm kind of obsessed with), and it got me thinking about what other rose gold pieces are out there, since it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon trend-wise.

My favorite way to wear rose gold is with pastel items (especially blush pink) or combining rose gold accessories with gold or silver. Mixing the metals up allows this unique finish to be more versatile in your wardrobe.

Makeup is another great way to wear rose gold. The Urban Decay palette I featured here is one of my favorites (and is another item I wore to graduation and a whole lot last semester for classes) because it looked natural and worked well as a neutral to wear on the daily. Warmer pinks like this also won't be too harsh, like blue-based pinks (think cotton candy and bubble gum) can be.
