Dreaming in Color: Mint and Lavender

If we're going to be friends through this blog, there's something you should know: I love colors. Bright, pastel, muted, whatever...I love having color in my life somewhere, whether it be in my home, in my work, and - of course - on this blog.

So, based on this, I came up with a fashion series. I'm often inspired by certain colors, and I would love to share my findings with you. To start, I'd like to show you two of my favorites...and also the two colors that happen to be this blog's current color scheme. :)

I've loved blue and lavender together for the longest time. My room even used to be lavender when I was little. Even so, I've recently gotten into pairing the two together again, especially with a hint of gold.

When I was putting this set together on Polyvore, the colors started to remind me of The Little Mermaid. Even though her tail is more green, I love how that's essentially her color scheme, too. It's a whimsical combination that works surprisingly well. :) They can be worn separately, or one can be an accent for the other.
