Welcome, November: An ABC Roundup

Monday, November 3, 2014

I know this pumpkin is more fitting for Halloween, but it's technically still Fall. ;)

I can't believe it's November, y'all!

November is a fun month because it's the start of so many things: Thanksgiving, the Christmas season, and Winter weather, to name a few.

It's only day 3 of November, but here's what I've enjoyed so far and what I'm looking forward to this month, in alphabetical order.

B is for Bible Study

I started a 9-day study on my "She Reads Truth" devotional app. It's really great so far! I enjoy finding new ways to become closer to God, and there's nothing quite like diving into God's word to do just that.

C is for Cold Snaps

The weather in Tennessee suddenly decided to go into Winter mode. Seriously, as soon as November began, our temperatures dropped into the forties and thirties. Cold weather isn't necessarily a bad thing, though. :)

F is for Family

I've already gotten to see a lot of my family this month, and I can't wait to get together with more family members as the month goes on, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. (I'll also be seeing a lot of my friends very soon!)

M is for Music [Playlists]

This is the time of year when I start making my epic Christmas playlists on iTunes and Spotify. I'll probably be making those closer to Thanksgiving; that's when I really get into the Christmas season and want to listen to Relient K's cover of "The 12 Days of Christmas" nonstop.

N is for NaNoWriMo

This month is NaNoWriMo, which stands for National Novel Writing Month. I'm actually working on a short story right now, so I'm celebrating this momentous occasion that way. :) I really, really want to write a novel in 30 days for NaNoWriMo in the future.

P is for Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows

Seriously. They exist. And they're good.

S is for Scarves

Due to the cold snaps I mentioned earlier, I've been breaking out some fun scarves. :) I've also broken one of my heavier coats out already, which is surprising for it being so early in November. Honestly, though, I love bringing out the warmer layers and enjoying how cheery everything becomes during this season.

W is for Warm Fireplaces

We had our first fire of the season a couple days ago. It was amazing and wonderful and I can't wait to enjoy another one with a cup of coffee or tea and a great book.

  1. Hi Savannah! This is such an awesome post idea! I love your blog! I started following you when I was on vacation, and for some reason I couldn't comment on my Ipod touch so I had to wait till I was on my computer again. Anyways, I thought I would just say hello and tell you how lovely your blog is. :)
